About our Company: DogStar Dog Running, Dog Walking, and Pet Care, was founded in 2009 with the goal of providing loving personal pet care to pets of the Charleston and Mount Pleasant area, with an emphasis on exercise and pet wellness. We offer a variety of services to accommodate your pet’s needs and continuously strive to make life easier for our clients. Each pet in our care gets individualized attention and we will never walk or run your dog with a dog from another household. Your dog gets 100% of our attention at all times!
DogStar is open for service 365 days a year, rain or shine. We’re insured, bonded, and hold certifications in both Pet CPR and First Aid. We offer scheduling through our online software as well as credit card payment for the convenience of our clients. More importantly, we care for your pets like we do our own – we miss them when we don’t get to see them and love getting to know all of their unique personalities along the way. About Dog Running: The cornerstone of DogStar is our dog running service and the belief that dogs benefit in countless ways from daily exercise. Most dogs are natural athletes who were born to run. Daily runs with a trained DogStar runner will improve not only the physical health of your dog, but will also help to alleviate stress, separation anxiety and many other behavioral issues that dogs can develop from not getting enough exercise or too much time spent alone. Pet Sitting & Other Services: We also offer pet sitting for both dogs and cats, in-home overnight dog sitting, puppy care, and many other professional pet care services tailored specifically to your needs.

About the Owners:
DogStar is co-owned by two brothers and its program director is the retired former sprinter Rudy the whippet (at right).
Brett Eppehimer graduated from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA before embarking on an 8 year professional basketball career in Europe.
Nick Eppehimer (at right) graduated from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY before heading off for a 6 year professional basketball career in Europe.
Both have subsequently traded in their basketball sneakers for running sneakers in order to pursue another of their passions – providing top quality pet care for their clients and the pets in their care. Brett & Nick are both married and live in West Ashley.
